  Being an accredited training provider for ITSM trainings makes a difference. The accreditation by the examination body EXIN is a demonstration of quality of the organization, the course material and the trainers.

As an ITpreneurs partner you can license ITpreneurs material and/or make use of ITpreneurs instructors to deliver the ITIL Foundation courses. Having a proper arrangement in place between your organization and a 3rd party (ITpreneurs) to deliver the course materials/instructors is sufficient for EXIN to apply for accreditation. ITpreneurs provides support in the content domain, you will have to provide the relevant information from an organizational perspective to the examination bodies.

ITpreneurs can assist you in the accreditation process by providing you the relevant details, resumes, course materials that are required.

ITpreneurs further knows the contacts with the examination bodies responsible for the accreditation process. ITpreneurs will provide:

  Course Program and Course Duration
 
  • The course provider incorporates the EXIN certification in the course program.
  • The number of contact hours is at least 16.
  • There is a structured course program. In other words, a good balance between theory and practice and between lectures and self-study.
  • The maximum group size for a course is 16.
  Trainers
 
  • Trainers that deliver the course for the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management have themselves at least 3 years relevant experience for the content of the course.
  • Trainers that deliver the course for the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management are actually capable of doing this in a well-considered way.
  • Trainers that deliver the course possess the Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management or possess a demonstrably comparable knowledge and experience.
  • Accredited course providers should have arrangements with trainers that meet the abovementioned criteria.
  Course Material
 
  • There is an explanation about the structure of the course and the material that is included and an agenda with subjects and times.
  • The course program must be included in the course material.
  • A clear trainer manual is available, which allows the trainer to teach in a structured manner.
  • The presentation material used is well prepared.
  • The presentation material covers the complete training.
  • In the presentation material clear and consistent terminology is used.
  • The material contains a summary of ITIL and a bibliography.
  • There is a general explanation about process management.
  • All ITIL processes (Service Support, Service Delivery, Security Management) are dealt with in a logical sequence.
  • Attention is paid to the practical operation of activities within the process.
  • The relevant book from the IT Infrastructure Library must be available to the course participants during the course.
  • The course contains enough assignments.
  • For each process attention is paid to the goals and the activities of that process and the relationships with other processes.
  • The course provider uses the following for delivering the course:
    • the examination requirements for the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
    • a sample exam provided by EXIN
  Planning and Administration
 
  • There is a summary of the course dates and times for courses with open registration.
  • The course provider must demonstrate that there is an application procedure and an appropriate registration of course participants.
  Venue
 
  • There is a suitable venue.
  • Media facilities are present.
  General Ariteria
  The course providers to be accredited must have an annual report that has been approved by an accountant.
  • Course providers that are to be accredited are registered with the appropriate legal body.
