ITIL is gradually shifting the perceptions of best-practice organizations about competence building training as a cost, to one of maximizing values. This perception-shift is invariably leading towards a global increase in demand for skills and knowledge delivered in a much shorter cycle time - in short, a greater demand for access, speed and ultimately, performance. Today, as more and more organizations move towards an informed approach to ITIL implementation, competency building is becoming all about “getting critical training to key stakeholders, anytime, anywhere and cost-effectively.”
