The COBIT Foundation course with the COBIT Games is a highly interactive and engaging classroom learning experience. Participants learn about the need for an IT control framework and understand how COBIT addresses this need. This training program explains the elements and supporting materials of the COBIT framework in a logical and example-driven approach for everyone interested in obtaining foundation-level knowledge of COBIT.
   
  Course Description -
 
The ISACA COBIT Foundation course addresses the benefits of a sound IT governance framework and explains how to realize effective IT governance using the COBIT best practice framework. The elements of the COBIT framework are explained using case studies and interactive presentations. The course is supported by a business simulation, The COBIT Games, where participants learn of the true meaning of IT governance while preparing a city for hosting the Olympic games. The course includes an exam preparation module, preparing participants to take on the COBIT Foundation exam.
   
  Audience -
 
The COBIT Foundation course and the COBIT Foundation exam are equally applicable to IT auditors, IT managers, IT quality professionals, IT leadership, IT developers, and process practitioners and managers in IT serviceproviding firms. Anyone interested in learning more about COBIT will find value in the COBIT Foundation course and the COBIT Foundation exam.
   
  Prerequisites -
  There are no formal prerequisites for this course, but it is recommended that the participants have some experience in the IT governance domain.

Each delegate receives a copy of the visual aids used, a COBIT Handbook and a COBIT First Aid Kit. It is recommended that students acquire a copy of the COBIT 4.1 publication that can be downloaded free from the ISACA Web site.
