Successful Simagine Business Simulation Roadshow in North America
December 9, 2014, Rotterdam, The Netherlands — Last month, together with Maarten Versteegh, Co-Founder and Master Trainer at Simagine, the ITpreneurs team in North America took the Simagine business simulations Control-IT and Bridge-it to partners Solartech, CASK, and Knowlogy in New York and Washington DC.
Business simulations are an effective vehicle to enable organizational change and performance improvement within organizations. They offer a unique method of experience-based learning and empower people to capture improvements in their own work.
To demonstrate its effect, partners Solartech, CASK, and Knowlogy have participated in the Simagine business simulations with their clients. They were impressed with its business applicability and how easy it was to adapt to specific needs. With the demo, partners get to experience the Simagine simulations in action. They appreciated that it is customizable according to the situations and flexible not bound by the number of rounds that you have to play to come to the conclusion. Simagine team is open to support ITpreneurs partners to take the portfolio to market successfully.
Flexible Scenarios that Match Participants Change Objectives
We received feedback from CASK that Maarten did a fantastic job explaining and demonstrating the benefits of Control-IT and Bridge-it. Participants realized that flexibility is key when identifying a client’s need or business problem. The Simagine sessions demonstrated that it could equally be as effective as a stand-alone session, integrated into a certification course (ie. ITIL Foundation), or integrated as the phase 0 of a consulting project.
Both sessions, Control-IT and Bridge-it provided a unique ‘hands-on’ learning platform not common in standard IT certification courses. We were amazed at how quickly the sessions were able to demonstrate everyday business problems, and present solutions to those issues.
Larry Goldberg, Account Executive at Knowlogy
The Simagine simulations are easy to play within all levels in organization. The games combine non-IT scenarios with typical IT roles. By using a simulated environment that everyone can relate to, it is possible to point out the most important core elements of IT Best Practice. The situations have nothing to do with participants’ everyday working environments. Within a short period of time, the participants are able to learn the principles, pitfalls and benefits of implementing a change program to understand its add-value and the advantage of teamwork and communication.
Martin was simply stunning. The simulation games really – were exciting fresh and allowed immediately sensitivity and learning all in one pass! Simply a class act session from Soup to Nuts!
Mercedes Butler, a Knowlogy client
Solartech hosted the demo at their customer Microsoft, in Times Square, New York City. The participants were very enthusiastic with Maarten’s job and can highly recommend it.
The Simagine demos are usually three hours – but can be adapted if necessary – with minimum eight to maximum 15 participants to make the demo valuable.
We know that sessions like these enable our consulting partners and their clients to experience the value of business simulations for themselves. And the experience sells itself. All of the partners that joined the team stated that this is a ‘must’ for their organization. In fact, several already have clients asking for the simulations!
